It was the first time we attended at MUNoH this year. We started preparing for the conference as soon as we received the research reports from our chairs and wrote our position papers and draft resolutions. The delegates from our school represented Estonia, India, Senegal, South Africa and Amnesty International. The final preparations were even made on the train on our way to the conference
The conference started with the opening ceremony on Wednesday. We listened to many speeches by the Secretaries General, the Conference Managers and also the ambassadors of all nations present. Those of us who stayed with a host family got to know their host families after the opening ceremony.
On Thursday we met our committees and started lobbying after we had quickly introduced ourselves.
After many interesting hours of writing new operative clauses and combining those we had already written the formal part of the first day was over. For the committee evening we had dinner in our committees and got to know each other better.
On Friday we finally started debating the first resolutions, later we met again in casual clothes. We talked about our MUN experience and shared our knowledge.
On Saturday and on Sunday some of us were in the General Assembly, the others stayed in their councils and commissions. On Sunday after the last debate the Closing Ceremony started. All delegates as well as all MUN Directors were happy that this conference had taken place in spite of the pandemic, not as an online conference but as an in-person conference.
Now we are all looking forward to MUNOL, our own conference. We are looking forward to meeting our friends from different European countries. Join us for our next MUNOL conference
